Yellowstone Park, established by the 42nd United States Congress on March 1, 1872, is the country’s oldest and biggest national park. Yellowstone National Park, located mostly in northwest Wyoming and expanding into southern Montana and eastern Idaho, is the most well known park in the United States and is generally considered the world’s first national park. It is also well known for its biodiversity and several geothermal features, including well-known geysers.
