Amazing Stuff
Ice calving, or glacier calving, is when chunks of ice from the edge of an iceberg fall off into the oceans. But some of these chunks of ice can fall from as far as 200 feet high creating massive and hazardous waves. And with climate change becoming more and more apparent, these calvings are occurring at a much faster and much more alarming rate. But despite the inherent dangers of getting too close to one of these events, witnessing an ice calving is a very popular tourist attraction in places like Alaska.
